WIGS is a UK-based not-for-profit organisation working with partners across the world to unlock imagination and creativity, finding the true potential of social and public organisations to meet the complex challenges we face as a global community.
We are simultaneously working with UK public sector leaders on a transformative leadership programme, with teenagers in Derbyshire through a pop up film school and with heroes in the voluntary sector on transforming mental health programmes across the UK.
WADUP is a global co-production and storytelling platform for teenage leaders. I set up WADUP tackles the problem of dramatically decreasing youth engagement and trust between established media and young people.
Our content is co-produced by teens around the world through a network of facilitated WhatsApp groups, where they record voice notes on weekly themes like spirituality, politics and justice.
Our first production, the WADUP podcast, recorded entirely through voice notes, is being piloted with co-producers from Afghanistan, South Sudan, Israel, the UAE and Britain. Having completed our first round of recordings, the podcast will be released in February 2019.
Refugee Youth is a charity that helps unaccompanied minors find their voice in the UK through the creative arts.
I am co-ordinating a youth-led participatory film making programme over winter 2018/2019. a in partnership with Crodydon Arts Store. The films will be screened early 2019 at a major UK arts institution, to be announced soon!
In 2014 I founded the Private Parts Podcast to explore social taboos. Private Parts has been featured on the Australian Podcast Guide and the episodes have over 5000 listens.
From 2014 to 2017 I built up Deloitte’s Design for Business team in Australia through delivering strategic design, storytelling and digital capabilities to Australia’s largest public and private sector clients.
Doteveryone is an independent think tank founded by Martha Lane Fox in 2015 to champion responsible technology for a fairer future. In my role as Design Research Lead, I helped the UK position itself as a become a leader in responsible technology through initiatives including Check your Tech, Doteveryone Fairer Tech Events, Dispatches from the Real World and Trustworthy Tech Partners.
Enrol Yourself is a 6 month learning accelerator I undertook in 2018 to incubate WADUP and my interest in learning design.
